Winning and Growing with Our Customers

At Dell Technologies, we just reported our best second quarter in company history – view the full Q2FY22 financial results to get the full picture. What’s behind these results is how we’re executing and innovating to help our customers drive better outcomes – whether it’s enabling data-driven AI and Machine Learning for winning solutions, protecting them from ransomware with our Cyber Recovery Solutions, powering multi-cloud workloads for the workforce of the future or bringing more broadband to more people..

Many of our customers are exploring ways they can deploy their IT as-a-Service. Our APEX portfolio allows them to scale IT as needed to launch new applications, kickstart new projects and address the changing needs of their organizations. Customers like GE are using APEX Data Center Utility to blend automation and software architecture to support its increasing workloads from traditional IT applications to data analytics. With APEX, GE can scale up or down its data center, storage and compute resources on demand as the company adapts to each business unit’s strategy. And The University of Texas San Antonio adopted the Dell Technologies APEX hybrid cloud approach to support high-performance computing – allowing researchers to move large datasets and quickly run simulations.

In storage and servers, Williamson County, Texas streamlined operations by connecting their emergency response dispatch teams under one platform – #PowerStore – and used predictive movement and analytics to improve response times of fire, police and ambulance services. The University of Cambridge worked in partnership with Dell Technologies to deploy Europe’s most energy-efficient supercomputer for converged AI, simulation and data analytics using our latest generation PowerEdge line. And NBC Olympics, a division of NBC Sports Group, chose the Dell EMC PowerScale family of storage systems to help bring the games to viewers by storing and managing the equivalent of millions of gigabytes of video content for its Tokyo Olympics coverage.

In Telecommunications, we’re working with DISH Network to build the United States’ first cloud-native open RAN-based 5G network. And our team has formalized relationships with top providers in Europe on open RAN. We’re working with Vodafone to build Europe’s first commercial open RAN, bringing more broadband access to European businesses and communities. We’re working with Orange to launch Europe’s first 5G standalone fully end-to-end cloud network, and with Deutsche Telekom, whose multi-vendor open RAN network in Neubrandenburg, Germany, is now live. These are just a few examples, and we are excited about the progress we’re making in this space.

Our PowerProtect Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS) protects critical data from ransomware and other sophisticated threats. Recently, the State of Oklahoma partnered with Dell Technologies’ CRS team to modernize their disaster recovery strategy by moving 2.6PB of data and 10,000+ databases to a remote data center. The move also eliminates IT silos, enables innovation and safeguards the state’s invaluable data against cyberattacks.

Thank you to our customers who trust us to meet your infrastructure, multi-cloud, edge and client solutions needs. We’ll continue to execute on our strategy to become the most essential technology company of the data era, so we can best serve you today and in the future.
