‘Power Trip’ to Bring 200 Boss Women Together, Building Leadership and Community

While women make up a majority of the U.S. population, they only account for 39% of business owners. That percentage has been climbing, and Dell is dedicated to helping female entrepreneurs find success in today’s business world. As a technology leader, we also want to listen to and learn the challenges they face. That’s why we’re supporting the third annual Power Trip, hosted by Marie Claire magazine and powered by Dell and Intel on October 15th and 16th – a gathering of 200 of the country’s most powerful female leaders and influencers for a summit like no other.

The exclusive invitation-only, 36-hour event begins in the clouds, as east-coast entrepreneurs board a chartered United aircraft where they’ll receive a special surprise from Dell. This gift will support their growth, learning, and passion projects – whether in the office or on the move. Once they land in San Francisco, they’ll meet their west coast counterparts for a whirlwind of panels, celebrity speakers, and networking opportunities.

The event is designed to give female leaders a forum to meet and share resources, as well as hear from game-changing peers. Past guests of Power Trip include Bozoma Saint John, Taraji Henson, Priyanka Chopra and Marne Levine, the COO of Instagram. Last year, the women shared best practices for elevating their business and keys to finding personal and professional success.

To coincide with #NationalBossDay on Tuesday, Dell is hosting a panel titled ‘Power Your Big Ideas’. Panelists include Karen Plotkin, Senior Vice President at Dell, Rose Schooler, Intel Corporate VP, GM IOT, Jen Rubio, Co-Founder of Away, and Francoise Brougher, COO of Pinterest. They’ll discuss tech trends of the future, getting “out-there” ideas funded (both by VCs and corporations), and how to effectively communicate cutting-edge concepts. In addition to their discussion, they’ll be answering questions about innovation, pivoting to customer demands, successes and the inherent challenges that come with it.

If you’re a female leader or entrepreneur interested in learning how today’s most powerful women achieve success, you can watch the panels on Marie Claire’s Facebook and Instagram Live.
