TechTarget has announced its 2022 Storage Products of the Year awards, and we are honored to be adding another trophy to our shelf. For the third year in a row, TechTarget recognized PowerStore as one of the best enterprise storage products in the disk and disk subsystems category – stepping up in its ranking from bronze to silver. History of High-impact Releases

Thanks to its flexible container-based architecture, PowerStore continues to evolve rapidly, adding significant new value and innovation with each release. New capabilities are passed directly to existing customers without disruption and at no additional cost. As TechTarget pointed out in the award announcement, the latest PowerStore update is much more than a simple “dot” release. PowerStoreOS 3.0 delivered 120 new software features – even more capabilities than in the original 2020 product launch.

Highlights of the PowerStoreOS 3.0 enhancements include:

More VMware integrations with end-to-end visibility within the PowerStore manager GUI, giving customers the ability to provision VM-level PowerStore services like snapshots and replication directly from vSphere.

More ways to protect and move data, with the addition of native file, vVols and metro area synchronous replication, now you can protect any workload (block, vVols or file) entirely within the PowerStore environment.

Deeper cybersecurity, including Hardware Root of Trust for immutable silicon-based protection against malware tampering, third-party key manager support, end-to-end FIPS 140-2 compliance and CEPA-enabled ransomware detection.

Enterprise file enhancements including replication and increased file performance, with the addition of VMware file support and implementation of new security features like file-level retention/WORM and third-party monitoring.
